Chinchilla is known as the ‘Melon Capital’ of Australia. The Melon Festival is held biennially.

Situated less than 300 km from Brisbane, this small, thriving community has progressed a grain crop-based economy to the dynamic region where coal and gas exploration and power station development projects go hand-in-hand with extensive feedlots, cotton and broad-acre farming. Due to the length of this trip we will be having a short break at Yarraman for you to grab some quick supplies and stretch your legs before the final leg.

Chinchilla is ideally located for those who wish to escape to the pristine beauty and rustic experiences of the Western Downs. Once we have arrived in Chinchilla, you're free to enjoy the festival, town & scenery in your own time as you wish. Our coach will stop at the Melon Festival Main Centre for direct access to the festival for you!

The return trip departs the Melon Festival at 4:00pm and returns passengers to their pick-up points as required. 

PLEASE NOTE: Bookings close 5 business days before tour date. Minimum numbers are required for the coach to operate the tour and may be cancelled if minimums are not met. Price includes coach travel only. Pick up location and time to be selected during booking, prior to checkout. Please make sure you are at the pick-up location at the correct time. We recommend arriving at leats 5 minutes prior to your booked pick-up time to avoid missing the coach. Refunds will not be given if you miss the coach. Your confirmation email will have the time and location for your reference.
